Blue and Metallic Glass Bowl with Carved Fish This handmade, blown glass bowl uses a sifting of powdered glass technique to get the textured, metallic effect on the exterior. Hints of pink are present from the type of glass that was sifted on. The metallic effects are caused by the precious metals that create the color being brought to the surface by a low-oxygen flame. The interior is a light teal, turquoise color. Fish carvings were added to the exterior by sandblasting. The piece is approximately 5 ¾ inches tall and 5 ½ inches wide at the opening.
