Breathe Deep

In a world that wants to be more divided, I am reminded of one of the lyrics from a band that I enjoyed – The Lost Dogs, “Breathe Deep.” Essentially they call out every kind of person someone could be. The labels are easy to follow and it points out a desire to group and label people. I think “we,” and I mean everyone, has a tendency to label and divide so that we can judge one another. It’s easier to look at someone else and say, “at least I am not as bad as they are, or those people.”  The essence of the song is everybody everywhere, breathe deep the breath of God!

I believe in God, The Creator. I believe that Jesus was the Son of God and that His death and resurrection are real. His sacrifice on the cross offers salvation to all through Christ. There I said it! In some regards, it is a little scary to say this in today’s world. You can choose to agree or disagree, it’s up to you. What is up to me, is to Love God, and then Love people.

There are many Christians that have taken stances on different issues and they have followed their convictions, not wavering. Those are their convictions.
